Dr. Firas Ali earned his Doctorate in Dental Medicine from Tufts University, where he was recognized for academic and clinical excellence and honored for his volunteer work with Special Olympics Health Athletes. He completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at Loyola University Medical Center and Edward Hines VA Hospital, gaining advanced training through rotations at Harvard/Mass General and the University of Detroit Mercy. Over the years, Dr. Ali has become a trusted surgeon for both medical professionals and community leaders, practicing the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery with special expertise in dental implants, anesthesia, and facial cosmetic surgery.
Board-certified and a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, Dr. Ali has performed thousands of complex procedures, including implants, bone grafts, wisdom teeth extractions, anesthesia cases, and reconstructive surgeries. A Fellow of the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons and a Misch Institute surgical fellow, he is committed to the highest standards of patient care and continuing education. In 2023, Dr. Ali opened his practice in Northern Virginia to serve his community while staying close to family. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling, flying, and spending time with his wife and children.
